Well, we’re going to look silly on the podcast this week: Square Enix has just confirmed that the upcoming PC re-release of Final Fantasy VII will not have a microtransaction-based system.
Speaking with Kotaku yesterday, Square Enix has shed more light on the “Character Booster” system, which many believed to be a microtransaction-based way to level up your character’s MP, HP and in-game currency.
“No, the Character Booster will not cost real money to use,” a Square Enix said. “We’ll have final pricing info on the game to share soon, but we can confirm that there will be no microtransactions for the upcoming rerelease of Final Fantasy VII on PC.”
Well, that’s kinda vague. Any guesses to how the Character Booster system will actually function, gamers?

Well I'm glad to hear there won't be any micro-transactions.
As for what the character booster could be, I've thought of a few ideas.
1 – They may have added a new in game shop where you can spend Gil to boost stats.
2 – At the start of the game, maybe you have the option of starting the game with some boosts, this could be utilised by players not familiar with or not good at playing RPGs…or for lazy people haha.
It's probably just an alternative for people that don't like to grind levels.
