Thank you for donating to our Christmas Toy Drive!

Our first ever charity drive has proven to be a huge success, and Stevivor.com has so many people to thank for it.

So, THANK YOU!

Thank you to everyone who donated to the Starlight Children’s Foundation in whatever way they best could. All up, we sent just over $2,000 in cash donations, toys, games and electronics to Starlight so that they in turn could brighten the lives of seriously ill children and young people.

Thank you to Mindscape, who were with us from the very beginning, giving us support, a sounding-board for ideas, and more importantly, their generous spirit. An equally large thank you to Ubisoft, for throwing in their hat as well to really bump up that donation amount. I’m especially proud that two companies — essentially competing companies — could put capitalism aside to embrace the crucial aspect of the endeavour: to provide some Christmas cheer to those who needed it most. We would have been lost without you both.

But most of all, thank you to YOU: the individual gamers out there who gave from your own wallets, perhaps robbing yourself of an extra video game, or maybe even one less present for your own children this holiday. You epitomise selflessness, and your donations mean the world to everyone involved. in this project As part of that, a huge thank you to Simply Giving; without your platform, we couldn’t have accepted donations from individual members of the general gaming community.

What can we say? We’re pumped to do it again next year…and with some an embarrassing amount of lessons learned, we’re ready to triple our donations for 2012.

Don’t think we’re going to sit on our laurels until next Christmas, mind you. Be on the lookout for the Australian branch of Haloathon, coming in July!
